We are proud to announce our annual Lori C. Pemberton Memorial Scholarship. This $2,000 scholarship is available to one talented high school senior who lives in New York City.
This scholarship honors the legacy of Lori C. Pemberton, a founding board member of The Five Pearls Foundation, and a life member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. Her legacy is one of commitment to service and making a positive impact on the lives of others, especially our youth. The Five Pearls Foundation is a public charity created to do its part to address ills that affect under served communities, specifically poor health, limited access to quality education and unrealized understanding of their place in the world and the possibilities that exist for each individual.
The scholarship will be awarded in four parts and is to be used specifically towards academic pursuits. The student will receive $500 each semester, totaling no more than $2,000 for the freshman and sophomore years in college. The recipient must continue full time status and be in good standing with their academic institution, or forfeit the scholarship award.
The applicant must submit a complete application using the online application and recommendation forms; and, do not forget to send a transcript. Transcripts can be mailed at the address below or to email@example.com. The application will not be considered complete until all materials have been received. Once the recipient of the scholarship has been determined, she/he will need to provide a copy of the bursars receipt in order to receive the scholarship award.
All applications and recommendations must be submitted online no later than May 31, 2021. Transcripts can be mailed to: The Five Pearls Foundation, P.O. Box 5550, New York, NY 10027, and must be received by the deadline. Transcripts can be emailed to: firstname.lastname@example.org. The recipient will be notified by the end of June 2021.
