At the Five Pearls Foundation, we believe that education is more than a pathway to success — it is a safeguard for truth, progress, and opportunity. In a time when access to knowledge and the integrity of our history are being challenged, investing in education has never been more urgent. That is why we are committed to providing scholarships that help students and adult learners pursue their dreams, expand their horizons, and strengthen our communities.
We also invite businesses, organizations, and individuals to join us in this vital work by sponsoring scholarships. Through the Foundation’s established network, sponsors can help ensure that educational opportunities reach those who need them most — and that each recipient is carefully and equitably selected through our proven evaluation process.

Sigma Nu Zeta Chapter Scholarship – This scholarship is given by the women of Sigma Nu Zeta Chapter to encourage academic excellence in young high school women of color who are graduating from high school and heading to higher education at a four-year institution. Candidates must attend high school in Manhattan or live in Manhattan. This application period is now open through April 17, 2026. Lori C. Pemberton Memorial Scholarship – The Lori C. Pemberton Memorial Scholarship was created to honor the memory, passions, and ideals of Lori C. Pemberton. Lori was a founding board member of the Five Pearls Foundation and a life member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. – Sigma Nu Zeta Chapter. This scholarship is for high school students of color who will pursue higher education. This application period is open through April 17, 2026. More details about the scholarship can be found here.
